Pfalz Wines
This region stretches northwards from the French border and produces a huge chunk of German wines. It is worth following the German wine route around this region and taking in the villages of Wachenhein, Forst, Deidesheim and Ruppertsberg.
The white wines tend to be fuller bodied than the average German wine, thanks to the favourable climate and this allows for the production of some of Germany’s finest red wines.
